    This Cucumber Salad with Vinegar is crisp, refreshing, and incredibly easy to make! Thinly sliced cucumbers and onions are tossed in a tangy vinegar dressing for the perfect light side dish. It’s cool, flavorful, and ideal for summer BBQs, picnics, lunches, or healthy meal prep.

    A crisp, refreshing cucumber salad tossed in a tangy vinegar dressing. Simple, light, and perfect alongside grilled meats, sandwiches, or summer meals.

    Ingredients (Serves 4)

    • 2 large cucumbers, thinly sliced
    • ¼ red onion, thinly sliced
    • 2 tbsp white vinegar or apple cider vinegar
    • 1 tbsp olive oil
    • 1 tsp sugar or honey (optional)
    • Salt and black pepper to taste
    • 1 tbsp fresh dill or parsley, chopped (optional)

    Instructions

    1. Slice vegetables
      Thinly slice cucumbers and onion and place in a bowl.
    2. Make dressing
      Whisk together vinegar, olive oil, sugar (if using), salt, and pepper.
    3. Toss salad
      Pour dressing over cucumbers and onions and toss well.
    4. Chill & serve
      Refrigerate for 15–30 minutes before serving for best flavor.

    Flavor Variations

    Creamy Cucumber Salad

    Add sour cream or Greek yogurt.

    Sweet & Tangy

    Use apple cider vinegar and a touch more honey.

    Mediterranean Style

    Add feta cheese, tomatoes, and oregano.

    Spicy Version

    Add red pepper flakes or sliced jalapeños.


    Tips

    • English cucumbers work best because they have fewer seeds.
    • Salting cucumbers for 10 minutes before mixing helps keep the salad crisp.
