    This Caprese Orzo Pasta Salad is light, fresh, and full of classic Italian flavors. Tender orzo pasta is tossed with juicy cherry tomatoes, creamy mozzarella, fresh basil, and a delicious balsamic dressing for the perfect easy summer salad.

    A light and refreshing pasta salad made with tender orzo, juicy tomatoes, creamy mozzarella, and fresh basil tossed in a simple balsamic dressing.

    Ingredients (Serves 4–6)

    • 1 cup dry orzo pasta
    • 1½ cups cherry tomatoes, halved
    • 8 oz fresh mozzarella pearls
    • ¼–½ cup fresh basil, torn
    • 2 tbsp olive oil
    • 1½ tbsp balsamic vinegar
    • 1 garlic clove, minced
    • Salt and black pepper to taste

    Optional Add-Ins

    • Grilled chicken
    • Cucumbers
    • Avocado
    • Baby spinach
    • Pesto drizzle
    • Balsamic glaze

    Instructions

    1. Cook the orzo
      Boil orzo in salted water until tender. Drain and rinse under cool water.
    2. Make the dressing
      Whisk together olive oil, balsamic vinegar, garlic, salt, and pepper.
    3. Combine ingredients
      In a large bowl, mix orzo, tomatoes, mozzarella, and basil.
    4. Toss & serve
      Add dressing and toss gently. Finish with balsamic glaze if desired.

    Tips for Best Flavor

    • Chill for 20 minutes before serving.
    • Use high-quality fresh mozzarella and ripe tomatoes.
    • Stir in pesto for extra richness.
