Ingredients
- 6 large eggs, hard-boiled
- 3 tbsp mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp softened butter
- 1 tsp yellow or Dijon mustard
- 1 tsp sweet relish
- 1 tsp white vinegar or pickle juice
- 1/8 tsp garlic powder
- 1/8 tsp sugar (optional)
- Salt & pepper to taste
- Paprika, for garnish
- Optional: chopped chives or parsley
Instructions
- Slice the hard-boiled eggs in half lengthwise and remove the yolks.
- Mash yolks with mayonnaise, softened butter, mustard, relish, and vinegar until smooth.
- Add garlic powder, salt, pepper, and a tiny pinch of sugar if desired.
- Spoon or pipe the mixture into egg whites.
- Sprinkle with paprika and top with chives or parsley if desired.
- Chill for 20 minutes before serving for best flavor.
Notes
- Softened butter is the key to the ultra-silky “million dollar” filling.
- For extra smooth yolk mixture, press the yolks through a fine mesh strainer.
- Can be made 24 hours in advance—store chilled in an airtight container.
