Safe-to-eat cookie dough made with heat-treated flour and no eggs, perfect for snacking.

  • Total Time: 10
  • Yield: 16 servings

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour (heat-treated)

  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened

  • ¾ cup brown sugar

  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 2–3 tbsp milk

  • ½ tsp salt

  • ¾ cup mini chocolate chips

Instructions

1. Heat-Treat the Flour

  • Spread flour on a baking sheet.

  • Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 5–7 minutes to kill bacteria.

  • Cool completely before using.

2. Cream the Butter and Sugars

  • Beat softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until creamy.

3. Add Vanilla and Milk

  • Mix in vanilla.

  • Add milk 1 tablespoon at a time until the dough reaches your preferred consistency.

4. Add Dry Ingredients

  • Mix in salt.

  • Add the cooled heat-treated flour and mix until smooth.

5. Add Chocolate Chips

  • Stir in mini chocolate chips.

  • Enjoy immediately or chill for a firmer texture.

Notes

For a richer flavor, add 1 tbsp maple syrup.

To make it gluten-free, use heat-treated gluten-free flour.

For a “funfetti” version, replace chocolate chips with sprinkles.

Store in fridge up to 5 days or freeze up to 2 months.
