Ingredients

1 ½ cups all-purpose flour (heat-treated)

½ cup unsalted butter, softened

¾ cup brown sugar

2 tbsp granulated sugar

1 tsp vanilla extract

2–3 tbsp milk

½ tsp salt

¾ cup mini chocolate chips
Instructions
1. Heat-Treat the Flour

Spread flour on a baking sheet.

Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 5–7 minutes to kill bacteria.

Cool completely before using.
2. Cream the Butter and Sugars

Beat softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until creamy.
3. Add Vanilla and Milk

Mix in vanilla.

Add milk 1 tablespoon at a time until the dough reaches your preferred consistency.
4. Add Dry Ingredients

Mix in salt.

Add the cooled heat-treated flour and mix until smooth.
5. Add Chocolate Chips

Stir in mini chocolate chips.

Enjoy immediately or chill for a firmer texture.
Notes
For a richer flavor, add 1 tbsp maple syrup.
To make it gluten-free, use heat-treated gluten-free flour.
For a “funfetti” version, replace chocolate chips with sprinkles.
Store in fridge up to 5 days or freeze up to 2 months.
