Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup buttermilk (or milk + 1 tbsp lemon juice)
- 1/3 cup melted butter or oil
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a muffin tray.
- Whisk flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, mix buttermilk, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla.
- Combine wet and dry ingredients; do not overmix.
- Fold in blueberries and chocolate chips.
- Divide batter into muffin cups.
- Bake 18–20 minutes until golden and cooked through.
- Cool 10 minutes before serving.
Notes
Coat blueberries in 1 tbsp flour to prevent sinking.
Use mini chocolate chips for better distribution.
Replace half the blueberries with raspberries for variation.
