Ingredients

  3. Ingredients listed on cake box (eggs, oil, water)
  4. Pudding Layer
  5. 1 box (3.4 oz / 96 g) instant vanilla pudding mix
  6. 1½ cups cold milk
  7. Topping & Layers
  8. 2 cups whipped topping (Cool Whip or homemade)
  9. 3–4 ripe bananas, sliced
  10. 1½ cups vanilla wafers, crushed or whole

Instructions

  1. Prepare and bake the cake according to package instructions in a 9×13-inch pan.
  2. Let cake cool slightly, then poke holes all over using the handle of a wooden spoon.
  3. Whisk pudding mix with cold milk until thick.
  4. Pour pudding evenly over the cake, letting it soak into the holes.
  5. Spread whipped topping evenly over the pudding layer.
  6. Arrange banana slices on top.
  7. Sprinkle with crushed vanilla wafers.
  8. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
