- Cake
- 1 box vanilla or yellow cake mix
- Ingredients listed on cake box (eggs, oil, water)
- Pudding Layer
- 1 box (3.4 oz / 96 g) instant vanilla pudding mix
- 1½ cups cold milk
- Topping & Layers
- 2 cups whipped topping (Cool Whip or homemade)
- 3–4 ripe bananas, sliced
- 1½ cups vanilla wafers, crushed or whole
Instructions
- Prepare and bake the cake according to package instructions in a 9×13-inch pan.
- Let cake cool slightly, then poke holes all over using the handle of a wooden spoon.
- Whisk pudding mix with cold milk until thick.
- Pour pudding evenly over the cake, letting it soak into the holes.
- Spread whipped topping evenly over the pudding layer.
- Arrange banana slices on top.
- Sprinkle with crushed vanilla wafers.
- Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
